Gary Oldman should have won the Oscar for this performance. Immortal Beloved is STILL one of my favorite movies ever. Best soundtrack by far!

05:17 Freude, schöner Götterfunken, Tochter aus Elisium.

Wir betreten feuertrunken, himmlische, dein Heiligtum.

Deine Zauber binden wieder, was die Mode streng geteilt,

alle Menschen werden Brüder, wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt. (2x)

at 1:00 ? Johanna ter Stegen acting as Johanna van Beethoven, Ludwig's sister-in-law...and the "Immortal Beloved" the movie was named after.

Oh please. First of all, it's not a competition, you fucking dolt. Second, Beethoven owed a great deal to Mozart, and he would have been the first to tell you that. Third, Mozart wrote amazing music of his own, that is more amazing for a) his sheer breadth of music genres he could command (he was a LOT more comfortable with opera than Beethoven!), and b) the circumstances under which he had to work. Mozart had to spend more of his life pleasing inbred dolts than Beethoven ever did, by far.

@PatrioticSam I believe it is Elise. You might know her as the inspiration behind the music "Für Elise" ( For Elise).
