This is truly amazing. Did you animate all the characters and all the scenes. Well done.

The whole thing was done with Lord of the Rings Online MMO - so the animations are in game emotes, and the scenes are various locations in the world.

I gave people a script of emotes and actions, and then they performed for me-I was the "camera" in most shots.

Location scouting was done whilst playing, keeping an eye out for something that matched the scenes that I had in mind.

Several practice takes would be done before a live shot or three-then the best were stitched together with camera cuts.

People were free to ad-lib stuff, I gave them a background, motivation type dealio, plus my emote script - but in places it was up to them if they had a better idea. It was a real different creative exercise, and everyone seemed to really enjoy it !

Maybe someday games will allow free form animating emotes - like a macro script for moving limbs and stuff... then you could get real creative !
