The Confederates had an Irish Regiment as well, named after my high school in Nashville. 10th Tennessee Irish led by Colonel Randal McGavock.

@Al7417 I'm not American, but in my country was a civil war too. But I would never call this war "war when the brother kills the brother". No.. And in the U.S., and in Russia fighting Mens and Orcs. "Southerners" in the United States, "White" in Russia fought for one and the same: for his Home, his Family, for the world that they loved, the world that have created their ancestors.
