HRC? maby 50, edge retencion very bad

@losteden I don't know the HRC, it is soft, but I think it is good in some cases. The hard edges are not durable, so I don't always recommend them to everyone. The Fiskars holds an edge fine in normal camp chores IMO.

Have you tried the Buck 757 camp axe?

I live in Finland (where Fiskars is from) and those are basically the only axes you see here. For a good reason!

@losteden No, this one was the Fiskars Sport Axe, not X series. It was not a splitting axe, the splitting axes had a thicker head.

@thetopgearpicks ok, but your axe is not X-SERIES? your is standard model? they talk now about xseries is the best etc, but i think standard and X series are the same :S, the splitting axes cut trees ou chopping well?
