Learn more about this magnetic levitation device (dimensions, etc.) here: http://stronger-magnets.com/blog/6-magnetic-levitation-device

In this how-to video I show you how you can create your own magnetic levitation device using 4 neodymium magnet blocks, 2 ring magnets and a pencil.

  • Did none of you people attend high school science class? The box is doing nothing but providing something for the pencil to push against as it's not stable enough just to levitate with the magnets. The box doesn't hold the pencil up at all. It would levitate without the box but soon fall over since it has no way to stay centered over the magnets. Now, if he built a wire framework and placed magnets along the sides he could get it to stay in place without touching anything at all.

  • what's the use of the box?

  • K what if made the floor of a room out of north pole magnets facing up...then put to magnets northpole facing down into a skateboard deck......hoverboard??

  • This is what i'm planning to do when i'm gonna create my high voltage generator, centered of course and balanced with strong forces keeping it in place while being free to spin effortlessly.

There is one guy here on youtube that made his test setup exceed 400 volt dc output, while it's input was just mere 12 volt.

At least, that's what he's stating, but i won't know for sure unless i try it myself.

With repelling magnets keeping it in place, it should be like a child play exceeding 500 volt dc.

  • officially this isn't magnetic levitation, it's pseudo levitation...

    but it's cool anyway.

  • are you british or what

  • mmmmmm danish!!!

     im hungry

  • You sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger

  • Are U Danish? cause i am too

  • he could do it without the box easily, all he needed to do is centralizing the pencil over the center of the setup he just did. drawing the magnet forces, all horizontal ones would null each other and the vertical ones would stack making a force to the top which would gravitate the pencil. also, there is friction with the air as well, its just too little since the speed is also too low.

  • i like how he says "neodymium" at 0:18
