On April 12, 2013, numerous leaders including but not limited to Baltimore Area Council BSA Assistant Chief Scout Executive Gary Butler, Board Chair Barry Williams, Delegate Steve DeBoy, National BSA Officer Henry Rosenberg, World ICCS Co-Chair Bray Barnes, Immediate Past Chair National Jewish Committee on Scouting Jay Lenrow, Scout Executive Ethan Draddy and others gathered at Little Sisters of the Poor in Catonsville, Maryland to especially present the Silver Buffalo Award to Cardinal William Keeler. Cardinal William Keeler, a Distinguished Eagle Scout himself, was previously presented the Silver Antelope award for many leadership contributions to Scouting and to the community. The Silver Buffalo Award is the top volunteer award the National Council BSA may bestow on a volunteer.
