Good speed and flow, great footwork. Good jumps and spins too. A lovely program to watch. I actually gasped when you fell; I think I fell along with you. Still a great program. Thank you for posting, your progress is so apparent. (And you were darn good to start with!)

what type (make and model) of ice skates do you use?

@kogasbabe During this performance, I was wearing Klingbeil boots and Gold Seal blades. I now wear Phantom blades.

I imagine that a set of special blades would help spins the most among all the different skating moves, especially with centering, pivoting and more rotations. Do you find that to be true? Any recommendations? Btw, I like your music (reminds me of Shizuka Arakawa's golden performance at the 2006 Olympics).

Figure skating requires special blades in that the blades have two edges with a toe pick and a heel. Figure skating blades have what's called a rocker (the blades are curved) that makes spinning and jumping possible. Blades come in all different models, from the kind you'd find on rental skates all the way up to the blades Olympic skaters wear.

Hi, thanks for your reply but I was actually thinking of any set of blades that you find particularly outstanding that deserves your recommendations.

Oh, I see. Well, it really depends on the level of skating one is at. It's hard for me to recommend anything since I've only ever skated in three blades (Coronation Ace, Gold Seal and Phantoms). I have Phantoms now and they're great, but the Gold Seals were good blades, too - just too pricey.
