Le Frog's fan under test. I am using a Bosch electric motor to drive the fan. I have made the drive shaft and bearing mounts myself. I modified both pulleys to take the motor shaft and the fan drive shaft.

This fan is 19.5" diameter and moves a lot of air. It should do for the radiator. The radiator I am going to use came off the same vehicle as the fan, which is a International B100 Drott (JCB on tracks).

  • The video doesn't capture the whole bench shaking. Still at that speed should the fan fly off it would shoot forwards rather than to the side.

  • all you need to do now is get ready to dial 999 for an ambulance.
