Mr L's Theme [Jazz Remix] ~ Super Paper Mario ~Vonyco

People have been requesting this since the original Dimentio remixes. The thing was, there wasn't any Midi's of this theme out there so, for the longest time, I was unable to even begin the project. Luckily, as a musician, I have come a long way since then. I don't even use Midi's all that much anymore (with the exception of complicated and fast parts in a track.) So I figured it was time to revisits this song again and do something wonderful with it.

If you came here expecting a goofy techno remix, you will be disappointed. However, these people are usually not my target audience so I guess it doesn't matter so much.

Remix (arrangement) of Mr L's theme from Super Paper Mario for the Nintendo Revolution... er, Nintendo Wii (anyone remember the Revolution? :D)

Vonyco, you are very good at remixing most of the time, but I honestly couldn't recognize the song if it didn't have a picture or title. It kinda kills a good remix if it's hard to hear the original composition. Great mix, just try not to drift TOO far away from the original song. =]

Are you sure you're listening to the right remix? Every note of the original melody is here. Sure, the majority of the remix is simple variation upon the original melody with some basic improvisation, but I really didn't drift too far from the original, in my opinion. The biggest change, however, which may be what you're referring to, is the harmony. I scrapped the original songs somewhat dissonant harmony and went for something more obvious. The remix couldn't work otherwise.

The original sounds more jazz-like and just plain goofy. This remix sounds more triumphant, kind of like a fanfare. It doesn't really resemble Mr. L's Theme, but it sounds great nethertheless.
