Blackberry Playbook Unboxing
After much waiting and anticipating, RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook has finally landed on store shelves. The companies first entry in the tablet world just launched today, and I've got one ready for the unboxing. Not familiar with PlayBook? Here are some fast facts to get you started.
BlackBerry PlayBook Specs 7-inch multitouch display (1024×600 px resolution) 0.9 lbs weight 1 GHz dual-core processor 1 GB RAM 3 MP front-facing cam, 5 MP rear cam (1080p HD video recording) HDMI video output MicroUSB and MicroHDMI outputs BlackBerry tablet OS Adobe Flash 10.1 and Adobe AIR Support for Android 2.3 apps (via app player) coming this summer Pairs with BlackBerry smartphone for access to email, calendar, address book, task list and BBM (via BlackBerry Bridge)
The Wi-Fi PlayBook is available at Best Buy, Office Depot, OfficeMax, Radio Shack, and Staples, among others starting today. WiFi only models sell for: $499 for 16 GB, $599 for 32 GB, and $699 for 64 GB. 4G versions are on the way, but not quite available yet.
What you think: Is the Playbook is a worthy contender to battle the iPad 2 or Xoom?
