This was my first big wrestling event I went too. I was 8 yrs old and if I recall the main event was "Cowboy" Bill Watts vs Terry Funk for the NWA title.

I think Vince, Sr. should've kept the belt on the Superstar and had forgotten about Backlund. Having Graham as a face champion made a lot of sense. The fans wanted it, so did The Superstar. I think that Backlund could've been an AWA champion. To me, it seems Bob fit in better with Verne's style of wrestling.
