The truth shall set you free. Read Esther 6:4 it explains what a Biblical hanging is. It means to be thrown down onto a tree down below, or steak, or pillar. It did not include a rope.

he was taken down and then thrown over a cliff. and what is with Amebelodon listed above saying Judas is hated by Christians, where is that at??? you mean Catholics? which is a cult. name a video here on tube that shows bible believing Christians saying they hate Judas for what he did.

I, myself am ( dare I say) a militant atheist, but I can still respect Deist Paladin, because he points out the obvious flaws in the Christian religion and understands that said religion is all bull shit. I have to give respect where respect is due

Judas is rising \m/

He departed and went out "strangled" with grief is the way the Aramaic texts have this passage. Judas did not impale himself until after Jesus ascended to heaven. Judas gave back the 30 pcs. of silver to the priests, but, as he held the money bag for the disciples,it would be easy to filch money from time to time and buy a field with this money It is not hard to conceive of 2 fields with the same name; many towns have a "Main St." but it is not the same street going through all the towns.

Did the priest buy the land or did judas, did judas hang himself or fall and bust open, or hang himself and then fall and bust open. I end up throwing the bible too.
-
maybe he had 60 pieces, and its a typo.

@Amebelodon you got it right. christians need to explore the gnostic gospels a little bit more.
People don't burst open from a fall. Not from the height of a tree, or even the empire state building. It would require a tear in your flesh to do that. Acts goes into more detail about his gruesome death. He transforms into something large and hideous, and it's a clear work of fantasy. If you're doing videos just to point out contradictions, you'd need a whole DVD collection. Scholars are well aware of contradictions. It would be quicker to say what we DO or CAN know about what happened.

@lostn65 Quick indeed. Assuming the Tacitus reference can be trusted, Christians are followers of some guy called "the anointed one" (not even mentioned by name) who was crucified by Pilate. That's it. Full stop.
