I was going to buy a Cuisinart but it reminds me of the alien from Aliens. I had a poster of Alien when I was little for some reason in my room that terrified me for years..I finally got smart and took it down and was able to sleep again.

I ordered the new Keurig Vue. I haven't had a Keurig but I did try my brother-in-law's and I fell in love with it. I've been holding out but I saw the info-mercial on the vue and I cannot wait till it gets here.

i have had 2 cusinarts and they both lasted about a month before acting up,it brews fine but then when it goes to pump the water again it just sits there and pumps,i had a breville that was older and noisier but was more reliable,but i wanted the five cup sizes and the bigger water tank,i should have kept what i had.

can we use the espresso capsules instead?

we had on of the keurig for 2 years it worked perfectly. brewing about 4-5 cups per day. it quit working last month. we were so happy with i we bought the cuisinart just because it looks better in our kitchen. we have also purchased a keurig for our office's our condo's and all of our family's houses and even some gifts for friends. i highly recomend either the keurig or the cuisinart

Thank you, this was very helpful. We've actually owned the Keurig Platinum for almost a year, but it's been barely functional for about the last two months. I think we'll go with the Cuisinart because the K cups are too convenient!

@plantamura11 I don't use the Keurig regularly, but do use the Cuisinart multiple times a day. I did have an issue with the pump (but I think that it was air in the pump tube and there is a way to clear that) but they replaced it for me.

Has the pump died on either one yet? I have read so many stories about them dying because the pumps fail. Sure enough ours died last night. Hasnt even been 5 months. Hopefully the replacement Keurig is sending will last longer.

@stringfellowhawke247 Actually, I haven't used the Keurig much but have heard about the pump going bad. The Cuisinart did have some issues but was replaced under warranty.
