youknow.. those comapnies should bethankful that ANYONE still wants to hear anything produced by them. How many artists have managed to make a comeback just because they were seen on youtube? When are they going to learn that this sort of thing only hurts their profits?

song has reference to hiv--''Nightswimming deserves a quiet night.'' nightswimming is metaphor for sex,the song is saying that people should sleep around alot less and be careful.
''I forgot my shirt at the water's edge./The moon is low tonight.'' shirt referring to contraception and so without a moon it is dark and unsafe to swim if you get me.
''I'm not sure all these people understand.It's not like years ago,The fear of getting caught,Of recklessness and water.''-these lines need no explaning

@jjjnjr No Way Dude !!! This video is beautiful ! "The song evokes incredible emotions" is right, but the video is abstract in a way that complements those emotions. The scenes are memory provoking ... sunlight glinting overhead through the trees ... an empty swimming pool in winter surrounded by naked trees ...
I mean, what did you want to see ? A shirt left at the water's edge ?

The song is arguably the best REM effort ever. The video shows no relationship to the song and could have been so much better. The song evokes incredible emotions. The only good thing about the video is that it isn't chopping to a new scene every two seconds.
