@Iamsmarterthanthou Silicone oil (also known as Shock Fluid for RC cars). If you use any other type of oil, the petroleum will dissolve the rubber o-rings and seals... not what you want to happen.

can you use any other kind of tape or only teflon

@AirsoftSniper2145 Only teflon tape will work because it is designed to be a thread sealer. Most other tapes will not make an air-tight seal.
