New World Order - solo (Threat Signal Cover)

As for this video, it's another Threat Signal cover off of their self-titled album. The song is called New World Order, and this particular solo section was written and played by Travis Montgomery (aka. kirkpetrucci).

I restrung (restringed? stranged?) my guitar and tuned it up to Bb so I can play it without altering the tuning via my Axe FX. Ok, I think that's it for now.

@RoathRipper thanks dude. and it's a long story haha. i had jonnybarvo way before i started playing guitar. i wanted J0NNYBRAV0 but it was taken, so i just went with barvo. plus i never expected my channel to get this big, so I gotta stick with it now.

I was going to say play the Megadeth New World Order solo, but I think this solo was much better. Crazy sweeping, with that one minute of footage you just got me into Threat Signal

I think that your tone would be improved if you raised your action a tad, brother

@LydianHarmony I don't think action has anything to do with it. I just used a random preset on my axe fx and didn't bother to adjust the sound at all. Just a straight recording so my sound would stand out. Didn't want it to sound too similar to travis' tone.

It was a hidden track they put on Youthanasia when they remastered it, so it is an original Friedman solo. Their latest album that was just released this Tuesday had it again, exact same song, but I still prefer how the old one sounded. It is one of my favourite Megadeth songs. The main riff in is really good, pretty hard to play to.

@jonnybarvo Having slightly higher action will allow you to tighten up the sound and give you better command of expression. Maybe a little but it helps.
