  • @fetteskind5 1895. Performed in 1897.

  • its great music but none of the themes are memorable ie. there are no motifs

  • This is great... Honestly it seems less "animato" than Movement 1 to me

  • @lovesGenet I agree. His cello sonata is one of his best.

  • I'm so ashamed i know the 2 piano trios all the pianoand double piano music but never spent time learning the symphonies.there are 3 of them Oh DEAR! Imagine if he had written a violin sonata or cello concerto.Maybe there is more violin music I must see.The trio is gorgeous!Cello sonata one of his best like Chopin cello sonata!

  • hallowed be thy name.

  • EEEEE Bremen people :D!

  • The CSO gave their first-ever performance of this work in late February of this year (what took them so long?). Electrifying. This movement is one of the most satisfying pieces Rakhmaninov ever wrote. There is a short section in the middle where the first cellist, the concertmaster and the first violist engage in what sounds like a short concerto grosso. If only Chaikovsky had lived long enough to hear this music! Best recording: Previn's on EMI.

  • me too in bremen !!!!!!!!

  • me too;)!!
