Absolutely no idea what this video was about. If they think the shower is waterproof then they are dreaming. You need membranes not waterproofing paint. You should take this video down because it really (really) makes you look clueless.

I have just had another enquiry regarding dampness affecting the walls around a shower. the lady has loose tiles and cracking grout. This link explains why this common problem occurs. If you don't waterproof the wall your tiling is going to fail and your walls are going to get wet. Waterproof adhesives are not waterproof, they are water resistant and will not deteriorate when wet. Make sure your installer uses a tanking system before tiling the shower area.

important to put the first coat on and then apply the fibre glass tape and then paint the second coat on immediately after..otherwise it will be an expensive mistake
