  • Nice man, I think you're very smart, but do you not think that it's possible to get to a level where waiting three seconds will become too long? Where you will see something and instantly know if you are ready for it or not, where you don't need to wait any amount of time?

  • @doherty06

Yes, the best example of this is walking. Other than babies and some elderly, not a lot of thought process goes into walking. Now 3 seconds may seem to be a long time, but try this exercise. Take a deep breath in, fill your lungs. Now, release the air. More than likely 3 seconds went by. Very rarely do I actually count to three. Just 1 deep breath to help clear the adrenaline and doubt.

  • Very true about walking yes. Ok, I feel that in the video 3seconds is made out to be a concentration period of time where you are mentally thinking, "am I capable of this or not". 3seconds to breath/clear adrenaline or doubt, but in the video you say how it's about cockiness and being egotisital? 'Clear' the adenaline? I havn't experienced adrenaline as a negative quality.

  • @doherty06

I am glad you bring these up. You as an individual know what tricks you have flawlessly and which ones you do not. The cockiness aspect is more related to myself. In a group I get very excited and like to go go go. Throwing tricks that I am capable of, but having crud landings because i forget to stay in check. The 3 second rules lets me know where I am mentally.

  • As far as Adrenaline goes, I have had experiences where too much adrenaline has made me dizzy or at least feel off balance. Personal Preference, I don't care for the Adrenaline. I would much rather rely on the idea that my training of the physical and mental is enough to overcome the obstacle. Not that the extra Adrenaline gave me the ability to do so. Again, it is all personal preference.

  • Where can i find the video for the clip at 57 secs?

  • @luigiparkour

  • I just wanted to let you know that I have applied the 3 second rule to my life in various situations and I have actually written an essay on this rule for my English class. My teacher loved the idea and gave me an A on the assignment.

  • definitly loved that 3 second idea you brought up.
