HACIENDA HEIGHTS- West Covina High School does not celebrate clinching playoff berths. But the Bulldogs did clinch one of four Hacienda League playoff spots with Friday's 42-24 win that left Los Altos in a dogfight to try and make the playoffs. The Southeast Division's top-ranked team scored touchdowns on six of their first seven possessions to take a 42-10 lead into the fourth quarter. West Covina improved to 7-1 (4-0) while the Conquerors dropped to 6-3 (2-3). The Bulldogs totalled 322 rushing yards led by Chris Solomon's 101 yards and Salgado's 83.
