  • what a fantastic preservation. This is how they should be kept and displayed. IMO Thanks for sharing.

  • @tjm52071 Agreed. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • This just arrived at Chino last week (hope that isn't proprietary info)! I will be going to see it next month. My brother is friends with Hinton so hopefully we get an up close tour (perhaps it is on display anyway?) Hope it gets airworthy resto like the David Price plane that is at Niagara now.

  • @RAF71chingachgook Excellent. If you get a photo or two, I wouldnt mind seeing what it looks like now if you have time. Thanks for commenting.

The plane was for sale for quite some time and now has a new owner. The restoration is just getting started so there are no updates.

  • What a fantastic find, I'm surprised that the Russians let it leave the country. Where is Shoreham and where is Chino? Who owns the plane now? Any updates on its restoration? Will it be known as 'Black A'?

Let's hope that it's re-downgraded to a E-1 and painted in its Battle of France scheme

  • Fantastic. If I won the lottery I'd want a perfect preserved Emil just like this.

It would never be touched or messed with, just display it as is as the focal

point of my aircraft & car collection.

  • Are there any pictures of the aircraft out of the water, i would love to see it .

  • Nice. Should keep it that way.

  • nice

  • this plane should have the authentic engine repaired and restored and the plane its self should have everything restored... KEEP THE GUNS IN THE PLANE... its not as good without the guns and cannons

  • @osu67

Restoration work has not started (or is just beginning) on this 109. It was for sale for a while after recovery.

  • Simply amazing. FW 190 is my favorite, but BF/ ME109 was the workhorse of the Luftwaffe. Is it now/ was it restored after this video?

  • An E1..only 4 7.9s on that AC, but considering its condition..you would hardly

    call it 'a wreck'...:D
