FFX-2 Paragon-Trema

My preferred method of fighting Trema. Congrats is better than bribe, but takes longer. Dispel Cat Nipper's Regen from MG+. (LL's MG+ [and 3-Stars' 0 MP] carries over to Yuna's SDS if you want to spend a few hours admiring an angel!)

Cat Nip: For N.A. and International version, it's on Floor 40 of V.I. For Japanese version, skip Moonflow in CH.1 and push Tobli in the elevator on Celsius in CH.2. (The Int version isn't much good as it forces Berserk) When a char equips Cat Nip and is in yellow (critical) health, every hit does 9999 damage.

Defense Bracer: find 1 in Calm Lands Cavern. Bribe/Congrats Ultima Weapon (Chocobo Dungeon)
or oversouled Adamantoise (Calm Lands)
or oversouled Adamantortoise (Farplane).

Crystal Gloves: find 1 in a chest in Ch 5 Bevelle.
Two bosses on the way to Farplane may drop 1.
Rare and OS drop from Concherer
OS drop from Adamantortoise.

I just use a miracle drink (mixing hero drink and any other item) so that YRP is invincible from all of Trema's attacks. You can only get a hero drink by stealing from Shuyin though.

Hero Drinks are also rare drops from the 3 nodes in the 2nd Vegnagun battle. With 3 Lady Lucks and EXTREME luck, you could get 24 in 1 game + steal 1 from Shuyin.

I wonder how hard this fight would be without Cat Nip.

Also, do you know how to get Tobli into the elevator? He runs around like his usual hyped up penguin self.

To push Tobli in, keep him against the wall and stay just far enough away from the wall that he can't get through and won't go around you. You must go very slow because the camera angle changes, which changes the direction you must move. You may want to push the 2 big musicians in first to get them out of the way and push them back away from the door but don't push the 3rd one until Tobli is in.

Yuss, i beat trema yesterday without catnip. Personally i think catnip is for pantywastes. It was pretty damn easy, but it just took forever to beat him
