these people do NOT worship this tree,they just consider it SACRED, like a miracle-a blessing of God and a manifestation of God's mercy,Since this tree has been associated or affiliated with Hossein-3rd shia Imam(religious leader) , they believe that it brings upon God's mercy upon them as paying respect to this tree is like revering Hossein himself, thus they seek God's closeness through this religious act/ritual.

Those people whorship what has been created and has not created anything, which does not have control over their loss or benefit. While God is our creator, he is it who owns whatever on the earth or in the heavens, he as allknowing all forgiving. So people, repent to your God, so your sins would be forgiven..
