@DoctorKosmo Actually we got in an union with Denmark because the Norwegian line of monarchs died out.The reason why we had marragies with Sweden and Denmark is because of the black death, we had to make closer connection with our neighbors. Norway become a christian country in 1030 after the Battle of Stiklestad but we Norwegians failed at being christians anyhow. Because our christian faith was based upon vest-norse tradition.

Norway was one the greatest and biggest powers in skandinavia at 1200 century, that was 100-200 years after the viking age, we had a quite big empire that was in many years, from norway to america, im not joking, we were also the first europeans who discovered america. But when Norway got christian, Norway and Denmark decided to make one kingdom: The Norwegian/Danish Union. This happend in 1400 century.

im not menning to offend any persons in here i just forgot that queen magret was marryed whit the norwigeen king (whitch if i remmember right is there where the "union" betwen denmark and norway where sign under.

@jonasnee what? werent both danes and norwegians vikings back in the days? you werent neutral like the swedes, your country had its own warrior clans (or empire) just like norway, and they both fought, pillaged and conquered the same lands. of course i'm not comparing our two direct ancestors. >_>

im asending from the first king of denmark. whit out him there would never had been a skandinavia as we se it to day.

reson: sweden is a rebelion of denmark (basicly) norway also athough thier size couldent impossiable have stand for a very long time against the rest of europe if it hadent been cause of sweden to the east (where sevel time in war whit russia) and denmark to the souht (where in war many times whit german)

@jonasnee we both have the same ancestors if you haven't figured out by now. and yes i know people already told you, i just felt like reminding you. but i was born and raised here in norway and been learning everything about my homeland myths, legends and backround since i could first hear about them.

@jonasnee im not exactly sure wherever you 'learned' about our history, but i should know beter. norway was never in dane union or rule before after the viking ages when our kingdom had been taken over by christian traitors.
