For the third straight year, horses were illegally shocked at the 2007 Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. This along with scores of other abuses, injuries and deaths again reinforces Cheyenne's reputation as one of the most cruel and deadly rodeos in the world.

On the bright side, in 2008 the Cheyenne Frontier Days committee promised to eliminate electric prods used on animals in chutes, and they stood by their promise. SHARK hopes that is a sign of more positive steps in the future.

  • SO if it really did hurt the horse that bad wouldn't it make some sort of noise to let everyone know that its in pain????

  • @GraceGraceGraceElise Not necessarily. Same goes for any animals, and humans alike.

  • my name is Cheyenne :(

  • @pony66360 Sometimes you just can't help that your name is shared by something that isn't very nice.

  • @thescottak Right. Got video?

  • I have put myself in the horses place i have been shocked by the same shocker that is used in rodeos. I was shocked on my bare skin (under my chin, arm, and chest) by buddies who were goofing off, keep in mind I'm sure my bare skin it more tender than horse hide, and i laughed with my buddies about their joke.

  • God Bless everyone at SHARK!! topdocumentaryfilms(COM)com/earthlings/ @56:40 they show rodeo torture :(

  • Fuckin' bitches who the hell do you think u r to do this to theses creatures. I bet u that when they leave the earth they think what the fuck u r a whore u think you ca get away with it, I will make the next horse kick you in the fricken chest and stomp on ur guts. that's what u fuckin' bitches deserve.

  • Pretty shocking stuff, pardon the very bad pun. How blithely they do it. This is HarseTraining, for sadists. Born to buck, yeah, uh-huh.

  • Feck sake a-holes

  • cont. and I highly doubt the injured animals are treated and live long happy lives. Bucking is a natural safety response for a frightened horse. If you have to shock a horse to communicate with it, then I question your communication skills. It takes a truly knowledgable patient person to effectively communicate with a horse. without shocking the horse or harming it in any way.

  • @kls576: I train horses. I can communicate with them without even touching them. And I can get them to do a lot more. These horses are in "flight or fight' mode. Bucking like that is what they do when upset (besides playing) and these horses are not playing. If they were "born to buck", then why do they need an electrical shock sent through them? I couldnt even imagine doing this to my horses. It is crazy
