What I like about this performance is that the composer's markings are observed so closely - probably because of his presence! Some choirs seem to think a pause marked in the music means silence - it doesn't it means the last note is held. I think this video, whilst not perfect, gives a good clue as to how this work should be performed.

how touching!...i liked watching the expressions on the students' faces :P there was one guy who yawned toward the beginning, hehe. absolutely beautiful song, and the composer is sitting right there!

I sang this last year. It was one of my favourites on that program. well done

it was ok, the guy was really nice to us which was cool because we had heard he was such a jerk to other groups.
He likes to tell a lot of stories about how awesome his music is and how well it's written. Kind of pretentious but mostly a kind gentle dude.

this was performed at Rowan University in southern New Jersey. It was a concert of the vocal department of the university.
