@PunjabiKudiUK I've just started at Bikram Yoga at Canary Wharf two weeks ago and I'm loving it. I want to thank Jay and Conny for their encouragement. After watching this I want to work as hard as Ky and become a champion just like him. He is fantastic!! However My first goal is to do a 30 day challenge in the near future.

Why a Competition?
closetes 2 years ago
The only way is the right way no matter what level you are. If the system works why change it? And the competition is to demontstrate the capabilities of the mind and body. It gives others something to strive for in their own lives. Mind/body (raja yoga/hathayoga)discipline/union = happy life. Hatha yoga is a scientific method not a religion.

There have been Yoga competitions in India for thousands of years. It still continues to this day.
The poses in the Bikram series are taken from the classic 84 Asanas, which also have been around for thousands of years.......which is something you need to realize.

yoga is not a competition, and there is not a right way to do a pose. There are only interpretations. Bikram needs to realize this.
