"Avalon" was written in 1920 by Vincent Rose, though Al Jolson's name and Buddy DeSylva's names are also on the writing credits. It's a good old, raggy jazz tune and falls neatly under the guitarist's fingers in the key of C - which is what I'm playing it in here.

The guitar is from the stable of Ian Chisholm and is a recent acquisition, hand made in 2008. It has a huge volume and great bass response, even fingerpicked.

What is it and when did you get it? It sounds, and looks, great!
