From the footplate with S160 on the Churnet Valley Railway as we approach and pass thru the Boulton Copper works. This engine is truly great and pulls a treat. Every sound you can think of is recorded here- from the lonesome whistle to the exhaust and clank of the motion. 26/06/06.

  • @34105swanage No it isn't, it's supposed to be loose and sound like that. If it was done up tighter, every time the valve gear moved it would scrape away all the internal components

  • what chime

  • Come on. Less of that.

  • must say lovely sound but some food for thought how about franklin.d. roosevelt going over the alps at the mid hants that good sound

  • wish i lived close to this line- would never
