  • I just finished the book "The Grunt Padre" It is absolutely awe inspiring no matter what your background.

  • I lived on Father Capodanno Blvd. I am proud of him and to hear how he was Staten Island tough: strong, a true friend, and yet cared so much for his fellow man. As a retired Navy Chief, I salute you Father Vincent.

  • I used to frequent the Capodanno Chapel in the 5th Marine Regiment area, Camp Pendleton CA.

  • I had the privilege of working side by side with Father Capodanno while in Vietnam. He was truly a saint and an inspiration to all who knew him.

  • I was told the story by my father one night. There where three other me that where ove for dinner, after dinner they sat there crying talking about something that happened in Viet Nam. After they left asked my father why they where cryingand he told me he was on th battle field the night he died. I have written a book called (A Flame Within) in his dedication. He is one ofthe greatest men that ever lived!

  • I served with Fafther Capadanno in 1st Medical Bn before he went to the line. I am proud of the fact that he called me friend.

  • I was always wondering who the hell the street was named after. I lived two blocks from Fr Cap. What a waste of a life to die in Vietnam so that today we can have a McDonalds in Red Square in Ho Chi Min City. The glory of Capitalism indeed.

  • An Angel from Heaven. Trully a priest of The Christ.
