Closing Plenary
Wednesday, February 11, 3:305:00 pm
Room 6A
"A Call to Action!"
Scientists, decision makers, and leaders will gather to listen to witnesses of the 2009 Conference Call to Action. The Coast Salish witness ceremony is a traditional protocol in which leaders are asked to hear, remember and share their response to an event. Larry Campbell of the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community and Ray Harris of the Hul'qumi'num Treaty Group will lead the closing plenary and invite prominent spokespeople for the Salish Sea to hear the key priorities for action that have been identified by conference delegates and to reflect on the importance of the Call to Action in protecting and restoring the transboundary ecosystem.
