Child Sacrifice in Uganda

In 2006 five year old Gideon Labeja was taken from
the family compound in the Ugandan town of Soroti by an
acquaintance of the family and killed. Some of his body
parts were sold to a witch doctor and buried in the
foundations of a dam to ward off evil spirits.

The Foundation has compiled a database of 83 cases of
sacrifice in the area of Soroti alone. The Advocacy
Project is helping to conduct the interviews.
