  • I was about 10 or 11 when this aired in England...was never quite sure why my Dad used to laugh at this....Now I howl at how the "political corectness police" would handle a comedy such as this... God help us...where did our sense of humours go??????

  • The irony for all those people saying the show (and by extension Britain) was racist is that Rudolph Walker was awarded best comedy actor after the first season

  • This is before my time, I only watched it out curiosity as it has a rep for being really racist, but after watching a few episodes if anything it portrays racism as negative and bourne of ignorance. That's what I got from it anyway.

  • THE BRITISH PEOPLE ARE SO HUMOROUS! I COULDN'T STOP LAUGHING. THANKS FOR POSTING.

  • i think what they didn't realise was the black guy gave as good as he got, yet everyone still laughed, stupid political correctness, its not like its preaching prejudice towards either side..

  • thanks for sharing this classic british comedy with us,,,

  • Thanks for posting this. People should look at this and question themselves as to whether or not the good old days really were the good old days.

  • ..as a child of Jamaican parents I believe we enjoyed it. I can see now what my parents must have gone through. It makes makes me very proud to be British watching stuff like this as obviously this satire was use to break down + poke fun at racisim and people with prejudices. I think it was a brilliant way to do it (for that time\!!) It's been years since anyone called me those kinds of names. Now I have children of my own and thanks God things are not as bad for them.

  • Haha Eddie looks like a young Nick Griffin, without a dodgy eye xD

  • Lots of fun. I haven't seen this since I was a kid in Glasgow. I guess it's just a bit out of keeping for these times today. But it seems to me that the racist taunts worked both ways here. They were pretty equal opportunity about the insults. Cheers all.

  • There's always one p/c twat ain't there.
