@truckboatntrailer I agree 100%...Most people can't launch or load a boat with a conventional trailer...it's hysterical to watch.

That is friggin' cool....awesome design!

Nope not me... have not had this rig up there yet.
Going to Rio Grande for a couple weeks in 2012

People always complain about what they don't understand.
So I designed this using solid works and built it myself.
And I can take everything along when I go on long trips.

The travel trailer I pull is 36' long and weighs about #11,000 fully loaded up.
Entire rig is almost #23,000 GVW

you know you could just pull it behind your camp tralier right?

Yes I know, reseached this very carefully before going to this much trouble. In order to be legal, the trailer has to be a fith wheel, the driver has to have a class A license and the entire rig has to be under 65' for pulling doubles
That means you end up with a small trailer and/or a small boat. Also you can't back up and have to have a full acre to turn it around.
The rig I have designed is for long trips, with long stays. It's not a weekend warrior setup.

It's more like 2000 pounds...and if he likes it great...just don't try to sell them.

@highvelocity123
Nope no intention to sell them... I have enough "work" to do already. This one is for pure enjoyment. The liability would be huge because for sure some idiot would take off from the lake with the boat not properly loaded and secured and it would come off and kill somebody.

is it not unstable in cross winds? and high center of gravity?
PetrolHeadGav 4 months ago
@PetrolHeadGav
It's about like driving a truck with a cabover camper, the weight is about the same...#3,000lbs
So yes the high winds can affect it. I don't travel in high winds.
When I hook up the 36' travel trailer it lowers the center of gravity and stablizes the whole rig.
