Palawan 2008.
NOTE:The eagle in the video is obviously a sea eagle. So one can guess eating mainly fish.
As the bird flew over Philippine territory, as maybe his home and nest is in the local trees of the island, maybe he was born there as well as his parents, I can name it the Philippine Eagle.
The quote: ' Ooh the eagle normally eats monkeys!' was the comment to me, of a surprised Philipino at that spot. So I hope I made no legal errors in this explanation.
Have fun, nobody was hurt! (I guess :p)

Editing and uploading these videos is a very time consuming and no sponsored activity.

Your subscription might make us believe that we are not wasting our time. Thnks.

  • Ha-ha! To please the contra-raters: if we would change the title, it would nearly not be found in the search engines, and get no viewers, see the copy: 'Attack of the eagle'. By the way: even Discovery Channel approached us for information about this video.

  • @mutadis1 - You should've admit that you have mistaken the juvenile White bellied sea-eagle as a Philippine eagle. as your tittle said to avoid further embarassment. I remember this...

"Maybe it is a mix of a white sea eagle and a brown Philippine eagle! :p

I will soon launch the video: 'The Return of the Philippine Eagle' ! "

Sorry! but there is no such thing as mixed!

  • The comment about the mix of a white and a brown bird was only meant as a little symbolic joke, sir.

  • 2/2... but the name tags seem then already interchanged. Don't be upset about misleading titles, YouTube is not a bible, internet is a jungle. Consider that YOU get here a FREE view, through a tele lens, of a rare few seconds event! While, the people at the spot (cameraman included), not had time or proximity to see any details at all!

  • 1/2*To some wiseacres here (most offensive comments were removed). Own recordings of the Philippine Eagle in the Davaos conservation centre can also be found in this MJM Channel. Recently visited a University museum, in Philippines's oldest city (Cebu), displaying two stuffed birds of the years 1930's. One looks clearly the Philippine Eagle the other looks like a Sea Eagle, BUT the name tags

  • I can understand people trying to rectify the original title by correctly pointing out that this is a juvenile white-bellied sea-eagle and NOT a Philippines eagle. But calling a Philippines eagle as the 'King of Birds' is incorrect as well. Just because it is the largest eagle doesn't mean it is the King. Yes, I'm pointing towards the Golden Eagle.

  • is that eagle also endangered?

  • it is not a philippine eagle. it's a white-tailed sea eagle!

  • lol .. it attacked the guy cause the bird see him as a monkey or something :))) hahaha thats why its clld MONKEY EATING EAGLE

  • @mutadis1 :-) but it would been nice to see an attack of a real Philippine eagle, though not on a human. :-) anyway, nice video. hopefully people will be more aware and stop capturing\eating these birds. even these smaller but still magnificent sea eagle.

  • haha tangena napag kamalang unggoy hahaha

  • @blahblah2x Philippino ikaw? lol im a kid. i dont know that much tagalog words. my parents do

  • lol kya nga monkey eating eangle e ,,hahah

  • @guitarezz - I agreed to you! The eagle on the video is not a Philippine Eagle. The bird on the video has a white tail, small beaks, no crest and specially smaller than the real Philippine Eagle. Until now many topics about "What is the largest Eagle? (Harpy Eagle/Philippine Eagle)". This video will be misleads!
