The comment on freedom to travel are misconstrued. How many average Latin Americans have the 'freedom' to travel abroad?? In Europe or North America, we are privileged to have this luxury within our grasp, but for the poor of the developing world, this is simply not viable. The issue for poor Cubans is the same for other poor Latin Americans. The big difference being, poor Cubans have access to free healthcare, education and social welfare amongst other things

@malecon77
many cuban artists includying Carlos Acosta go abroad in order to represent their country.
also many cubans go abroad because they have families abroad mostly in States and Europe. so, they can take an airplane and visit other cultures. they are average joe, they are not rich or millionarie.

@malecon77 - Any average Cuban citizen is not permitted to travel abroad freely. You and Acosta are obviously not average Cuban citizens.

Mr. Acosta, you travel in and out of Cuba freely with Castro's permission. Do you think your fellow citizens should be allowed the luxury bestowed on you?
