@kepes56 It appears to be a flash over. Firefighters are trained to know the signs of when a flash over is about to occur, but I am not an expert, that is just my guess. =/ What started the fire?

It looks like a 1 3/4 burst at the front door

@kepes56 Most likely a window breaking, not an explosion in the normal since, but a large flame caused by the already existing fire meeting fresh oxygen. I am Certified firefighter in Texas

What were they doing on front porch ?? all 3 floors going, your not entering this structure!

@sharppointy1 He appears to be the first due Battalion Chief to this fire. Unlike some cities, Chicago chiefs aren't scared to actually WORK instead of sitting in their cars listening to themselves talk on the radio.

I didn't catch the collapse, although I do have some more video and pics. Separately, does anybody know what the explosion is all about near the front door? It happens 21 seconds into the video. It looked deliberate, as you can see the firefighter preparing for it a second before it happens.
