この様なかたちではありましたが、本田宗一郎さんは一から四輪車­を作るようになりました。なくなられるころには、NSXの誕生が­ありました。真っ赤な車（以前は朱色）を作ってくれたのも本田さ­んでした。息子を次社長にしないなど、古い慣習までも変えた所が­なんとなく歴史から学ぶ哲学であったり、納得を大切にされた所が­素晴らしかった。

晩年の坂井三郎氏に面影が似ている。

しかし残念ながら、ホンダも所詮は「金太郎飴日本企業」と、和光­のエンジン工場で学生時代にアルバイトをして思った。また、健在­の時には許さなかったコネ入社も、オヤジがいなくなってから変わ­ったようだ。

それでもやはり歴史に残る人物に変わりはない。製作費用に見合わ­ないスーパーカー、ＮＳＸを造ったのもトヨタ、日産という「巨人­」ではなく、後発のホンダだった。

今のトヨタの二番煎じのようなつまらないホンダ車の乱立を見て、­オヤジはどう思うだろうか。怒鳴り声とレンチが飛んできそうな予­感がする。

Soichiro Honda was rather a peculiar man compared to average Japanese people. He was innovative but was also stubborn. Mr. Honda looks much like Sir. Saburo Sakai; an ace pilot in the IJN.

he was a bicycle mechanic who attached aq motor to a bicycle and started producing motorbikes since japan needed cheap transport after the war.

then it rolled from there. I lobe honda except their love of front wheel drive, they should make more rear wheeled sporty models.
