I see, he might be having some trouble getting a home then i'm afraid. Sadly enough for him most people want to "Cute cuddly" type. He probably just needs someone to put their time and effort into earning his trust but i cant see that happening i'm afraid.
I hope he gets a home even against such odds.

I own a cat who tested positive for FIV, but I took him on any how as he was quite passive and not a fighter, so I figure my cats were safe. Also, cats sometimes test for FIV when they have been exposed casually, but they NEVER get the active disease. Please give these guys a chance..

There is a vaccine, but its effacacy has been questioned and it causes false positives in the FIV blood test. I'm starting to think we encourage too much hysteria about the disease. It does not necessarily affect longivity or quality of life and it is difficult to spread without a deep puncture wound. I would not hesitate to mix a well-adjusted, tame FIV cat with either of mine.

You're right about that. He shrinks back from my approach as though he already knows rough handling, so I let him have his space and enjoy the meal. Quite a few of them seem to suddenly have an appetite as soon as you give them a bit of attention.
