  • well, don't, i prefer to spend my time fishing, not tying flies to the tippet

  • @Kilogram24 then I should go buy a few leaders from Bass Pro Shops or something....?

  • @sebuk4 Better than clinch? I don't think so.

  • @MrYoungfisher88 No, get a tapered leader

  • @FootballCat21

Yes but it won't transfer the power through to the fly appropriately. So no, don't do it.

  • I'm a beginner, and not very equipped. Could I use regular plastic fishing line as my leader?

  • I'VE BEEN KNOWN BY LOCAL FISHERMAN TO BE ONE OF THE BEST. CATCHING SO MANY FISH FLY FISHING AND BEING WITHNESS BY EVERYBODY SINCE THE CHATTAHOOCHEE IS A METRO TROUT RIVER, I HAVE EXPERIENCE IN WHAT KNOT WORK ESP. NYMPES. I USE A DOUBLE LOOP CLINCH ALSO CALL THE TRILENE KNOT OR IF THE HOOK EYE IS SMALL A REG. CLINCH KNOT. DOUBLE LOOP IS STRONG BUT THE CLINCH IS NOT BAD AND BETTER THAN MANY. WET TYE KNOTS SEEM LINEARLY STRONGER THAN DRY CINCHING. HAVE A GOOD DAY!

  • I have one question. Do you attach the fly line directly to the tippet.

    New to Fly fishing

  • @dookiekong007

make it wet and then tie it
