@XNinjaSebX This isn't about being vegan. It's about plant based food with no added oils. Daiya has added oil, and Vegan Gourmet tends to be high in fat. If you want to do Vegan Gourmet, go for it, but it's not the Engine 2 diet.

The beans give me gas, but they are great, especially with tortillas.Salsa helps. My cholesterol is totally normal now. Be careful with fruit as it ups blood sugar.
Hi, I have followed this exact diet of rip & dr esselstyn as wel as neal barnard. However I experienced that although after 2 hours after a meal my blood glucose is fine but after one hour it spikes up to values that had never been so high. My worry is that carbs with no fat and little protein will cause very high spikes after a meal and although my fasting blood sugar is fine, my spikes are never been so worse. Please help me about this and have u done any studies about blood sugar spikes?
