UAW officials try intimidation at American Axle meeting

Officials of UAW Local 235 at American Axle in Detroit attempt to intimidate workers at a union meeting on Sunday to prevent them from reading a leaflet distributed by supporters of the World Socialist Web Site, which opposes the threat of a wage-cutting sellout by the union. The strike of two months is now among the longest by auto workers in more than three decades in the US.

Those petty-bourgeois officials don't particularly like getting their faces broadcast on youtube for all to see, for me to see in New Zealand. The black official then screwing up the WSWS article? just shows how "determined" he is to protect his pathetic crumps aka interests..enjoy while it lasts, which won't be for long, perhaps the UAW officials should develope their vocabulary for the time being!

Thanks for posting this! I shot the video being one of the workers from Bowling Green, Ohio and we may be in for the same type of fight next year and many of our workers talk about the AA strike daily. We'll also watch (and participate) if the rally is rescheduled.
