A History Channel documentary produced in 2006 about the real scientists and experiments of the time that may have inspired Mary Shelley in creating Dr Frankenstein. The four possible candidates are Luigi Galvani, Giovanni Aldini, Andrew Ure and Konrad Dippel who lived in the Frankenstein Castle in Germany.

  • @CrazySingingNote I was just about to say that. He was still married to someone else at the time. They couldn't marry until his first wife died (she committed suicide after Percy sent her a letter that said he didn't love her any more)

  • I think that mary shelly maybe didn't percy to tell her about the scientists of the day. They where equals of intellect, no need to portray him as her mentor, more than she was his.
