Neil deGrasse Tyson was asked by the Templeton Foundation to answer the question "Does the Universe Have a Purpose". Then he read his answer aloud and I drew some pictures for it. http://www.templeton.org/purpose/

Well, Im sure some may because they have their own beliefs. Others probably believe in other theories of physics or maybe respect these arguments but are still studying others. As for me, if I would'nt have commented I wouldnt have shown respect and appreciation. Ignoring it just means I'm an ignorant person who arrogantly objects to anything. What gives you that absurd idea about me?

And I appreciate anyone that has their view points and understand the differences there may be in others. The difference here is trying to find a mutual understanding we can all respect. Kudos B)

yet, if you can understand the careful direction of their pursuit you will also appreciate that it's better to "try" and find the truth than to believe something to be truth so blindly. By the way, Im a Christian

I understand that you mean those fanatics and incredulous people who besides believing in a faith so blindly also inmmerse themselves in completely disregarding other people's opinions with such arrogance and high profiles of themselves. These people give a bad name to a man who preached love and peace and not a religion or doctrines. I for myself, respect the views of others and look to find truth by facts, logic and heart and not on fanatism alone.

The universe has no purpose, but the purpose to life is to GIVE life meaning, so I'd like to say the same about the universe. The purpose of the universe is for whatever life form decides to GIVE it the meaning that it means to that specific creature.

We humans are simply specks of dust wondering about something that is only a part of more. Like an ant wondering what the purpose of the garden it lives in is.

Our universe is observable, the universe isn't all that there is to it though... I say once we have mapped out the multiverse, then we can ask why it's there.
