Susun Weed explains nourishing herbal infusion, her favorite herbs for infusion are nettle, oatstraw, red clover, and comfrey leaf, but only one at a time.

An infusion is a large amount of herb brewed for a long time. Typically, one ounce by weight (about a cup by volume) of dried herb is placed in a quart jar which is then filled to the top with boiling water, tightly lidded and allowed to steep for 4-10 hours. http://herbshealing.com/How_to_make_Infusions.htm

  • About oatstraw and redclover...

I care for my reproductive health but am not exactly interested in having children right this moment. Will they interfere with standard birth controls? Or, is there a period of time you should abstain from them to make sure you aren't super-fertile?

  • infusions should not interfere with standard birth controls...

  • yes, infusions should be stored in the refrigerator to prevent spoilage.

  • oar straw? :)

  • I have been a pituitary tumor patient since I was quite young. I am 50 years now and would like to know how you might nourish the endocrine and pituitary system? I fight osteoporosis with Fosamx, Vitamin D and Testosterone Gel - so I am looking forward to using tools of nature to assist in the body healing itself. Thanks!
