Cued Speech Summer School 2010.
Cued Speech is an easy way of enabling deaf children to understand the spoken language of the home, completely and in real-time. Eight handshapes are used in four positions around the mouth, together with the lipshapes of normal speech, to totally clarify lipreading for deaf children and adults.

  • What country? It doesn't look American. I was born with nerve deafness. I speak and sign ASL. I write English and I write ASL, too. I read lips. Is there a pamplet to explain how Cued Speech works ? I wear hearing aid which I hear very well. I love music and Beatles and Enya are few of my favorites.

If your deaf people are in another country, what country? and do they use the country's natural sign language?

  • im totally against this because it is not really a language that the deaf people use
