This video shows the comparison between plain henna paste, and henna paste that contains black walnut hull powder. The result, is the walnut powder assists the henna in achieving a cherry stain.

Black walnut hull powder is not in any way related to black henna or ppd. People with nut allergies should avoid black walnut hull powder.

You can find both of these products on my website (links below)

  • i've been considering dyeing my hair with henna and indigo. indigo is known as black henna too, but i've heard that black henna can cause cancer or some kinda damage to the body, i was wondering if you knew anything about this :)

  • @MsHappyhappy77 Indigo is not black henna, these two are not the same thing. Please watch my video about natural hair dye products.

  • y r u talkiing about the IKEA air tight jar instead of talking about the main topic...

  • @crazygal70 You obviously only watched like 5 sec of the video.

  • hi, just wondering if you used a lamp to add heat? and was it a special lamp of some kind? looking forward to my first batch of walnut powder. cheers

  • @cazan99 No special lamps or anything, just a regular desk lamp.

  • I've been using Henna and Indigo for close to two years now and would never go back to synthetic dye. The way it leaves your hair feeling and looking is fantastic and something I never had with dyes from the store. I am able to produce a very dark brown shade and it covers all greys. What I'm wondering is if I add walnut powder if it will make it less dark.

  • جميل جدا واو بارعه جدا

  • I might do this with only walnut hulls. I have several mature trees on the property and know how well they stain your skin! LOL

  • I have black walnut trees in my yard and i harvest the nuts and i am stuck playing with the green hulls. it works extremely well for dying your hands a very dark orange / brown . black walnut husks contain the same staining properties as henna and it oxidizes from light yellow at first and the next day when you wake up in the morning and your hands are black !! if you were to make a paste of these hulls, add lemon juice and oil it would be bad ass. I have like a 55 gal. drum of them, want some?

  • is using the walnut safe? is it still natural? because i dont want " black henna" supposedly is bad

  • How many parts henna to 1 part black walnut powder? Thanks =)

  • First of all thank you so much for your videos. Also thanks for your responds; I have asked questions in the past. I love love love henna; after some questions I asked you online I went with using henna for my hair. Henna brought life to my brittle dead hair. I can finally grow my hair now.

Today I found out about Black Walnut at a herbal store- when searched I see this video of yours. My question is- could I use two parts henna and 1 part Black Walnut to cover grey hair? Thank you.

  • thankyou i will watch it, you've been very helpful :)
