After Natalie discovered Monk faked his death, she realized her feelings for him were stronger then she knew.
Now, haunted by the memories of his loyalty as a friend, and how he's always been there, she struggles to hide her affections.
However, nothing can be hidden from Monk and he soon learns of her love for him.
He'd never imagined Natalie in such a way, and will not surrender his heart to her, for it belongs to Trudy.
So, in the end, Natalie must learn to settle for what was and always will be.

By that summary you can tell I really over thought this and am I total dork. :D
I just love the thought of Natalie and Monk coming together someday, perhaps at the end of the series.
Though the idea used to make me cringe, I love it now.
