On my way to buy a new running back pack today I stumbled across a great Irish band performing on the street in Sannomiya (Kobe, Japan). I was in a hurry so I filmed a little assuming I could film more on my way back to the train station. Unfortunately, they were shut down my the police when I was about to start filming them more.

I come from Nova Scotia, Canada, a place with a rich Celtic music scene. I played drums, bodhran, whistles and sang in Celtic bands for quite a while and love to hear the tunes. These guys had some nice chops!

  • Great!!!!!!

  • Very, very cool.

  • I've seen them a few times on a corner off of Motomachi, near Chinatown. One of the things I love most about Kobe is the chance encounters of things like this. Very talented group indeed, and I hope to run into them again.

    Thanks for posting this!
