The media has poked fun of and laughed at every person who mentions bigfoot.

Understand that, I have not seen any news caster that hasn't made fun of anybody who says that they seen something like bigfoot. And who cares what they think. I don't. I really don't care what any newscaster says about Tom. I am quite capable of making my own mind up about people without help. And the reason why they snicker at Tom is they have no clue about anything. They read a teleprompter. Thats it.

BTW, being from the Pac Northwest....I have always believed in Bigfoot....but this recent 'prank', it doesnt lead me to disbelieve in Bigfoot, it leads me to disbelieve in Biscardi, since he was the one who 'confirmed' the body captured was infact authentic. Pitiful attempt at credibility. He would have gone further by not backing this one.

If these guys were hunters then I would be tempted to suggest that they shot and killed the creature and only later said they simply found it to avoid criticism. Then again, we dont' know this story is even true. The press conference is tomorrow and, depending on how it goes, we will see if this story is believable or not.

mutualdisdain: The bear skeleton thing isn't ridiculous. It's true. People rarely find remains of dead things in the wild due to scavenger activity. Even human skeletons, when they are discovered, are mostly incomplete or the bones not found together. Scavengers drag the bones away. The only way to prevent this would be to bury the body, which is why burial of the dead evolved in the first place! Our ancestors invented burial to deter scavangers from the bodies of their loved ones.

Tom Biscardi had a chance to make himself the media's de facto "Bigfoot Expert" and he completely blew it. He made ridiculous statements about bear skeletons never being found in the woods and that is why he drew the criticism from the hosts. If he had maintained his composure and a hint of professionalism he could have started to establish himself as THE Bigfoot expert on the national scene. Instead he allowed himself to be portrayed as a kook by playing into the UFO believer stereotype.
